<br />In this poetic reflection on mental health, six characters explore their individual paths towards healing by delving into the pains and traumas they’ve suppressed.<br />
<br />The film is based on an album by the composer duo, Dhanya Langer and Max Scholl also known as Modha. Over a period of two years they drew inspiration from real-life experiences and intimate conversations with fellow artists, friends and family, which served as a foundation for the music, writing and later the film.<br />
<br />Nils was a constant companion on the musical journey and embraced the collaborative nature of the project by crafting a script that weaves together six individual stories, each inspired by the personal experiences of the albums musical collaborators. His aim was to maintain the personal nature of the project and express the multitude of perspectives within the films complex topic through its episodic structure.<br /><br />
"Through The Cycle" seeks to initiate a dialogue about mental health that goes beyond surface-level discussions, delving into its deeper complexities. By combining music, writing, and visual storytelling, the team aims to create a meaningful and thought-provoking experience that resonates with the audience and encourages continued conversations on this vital topic.<br />
